Outdoor Classroom

The Valley County Conservation District sponsors the Outdoor Classroom in May each year to all the 5th graders from the six area schools. The students received hands-on learning with volunteers from various natural resources agencies, on topics ranging from surveying with GPs, stream bank stability, and dissecting owl pellets. In 2017, we served 127 students.
